Tool Time Discussions here pertain to the use of tools you use while fabbing and wrenching in the garage

I love tools....any forums that are JUST about tools/workshops?

If you've been lurking, why haven't you been posting

I'm a woodworker to, well, kinda. I make LOTS of wood chips and firewood I've got a couple of different domain names, to stick w/ the same fabnet theme and was considering doing a woodfabnet.com or something like. Maybe homefabnet.com I dunno. I've got fab-net.com plus about a dozen others

I'm open to ideas, or helping out any way that I can

I've been eyeing this new longevity spray, kinda like WD-40, anyone try this stuff or heard anything about it? Also, whats the best way to get grease off your hands? Thanks guys, this forum ROCKS!!!

04 Craftsmen racheting set, And much more too come as the $$ allows!

Dave,

Welcome to the forum, great racheting set you got yourself. I bought that set, but needed a bit more so I traded that set in for the Deluxe set. Anyways, welcome to the forum and don't be afraid to use the SEARCH button, as everything you've asked has already been discussed. You'll find hours upon hours of info, but go-jo works pretty well for the grease, as well as lava soap. Happy Racheting!

Like I always say, "If it ain't broke, break it so you can use your tools!"

40 piece speed-lok and drive set, 10 inch Table Saw with dust collection, 1 inch Impacat wrench with Extended Anvil

Soon: 546 piece mechanics set (as soon as the wife ups my allowance)
That's great! I wish I could be that creative!

I think I have the same rotary tool! I've used a quite a bit. It's sorta 2 speed. Sometime it will run slow, but if I wrap my hand around it real firm, it goes faster.

Great job on that tool forum Cebby! Looks good!

We're going to be publishing a new monthly column on Off-Road.Com dedicated to fabrication and tools.
I posted a brief news article about The Chop Shop on our website.

Thanks for the props and help gang! We are at 60 members already, 65 threads and nearly 150 posts.

We've been getting a lot of hits too - alot of guests checking us out.

I spent most of last night adding raw materials links for the reference section (basically all the stuff I had in my bookmarks). I'm working on a steel tubing weight chart currently - a few missing weights are holding me up....

Check out the tubing weight chart and calculation spreadsheet (for Steel). I'm planning to do sheet/plate steel, aluminum tube & sheet/plate, and UHMW plate also.

That's a really useful chart. Thanks for the link. I had to search all over the internet the last time I tried to find a chart like that.
