flaring tool

im looking at getting one.

i want a GOOD one. not a piece of ˟˟˟˟˟ from HF.

while i wont rule out the $30 versions i feel they are pritymuch all cut from the same mold.

so what do you have and has it worked well.

i buy tools for a lifetime (expecailly something like this) Im not opposed to droping a bill on a profesonal tool that all my budys then want to use cause there HF versions suck so bad.

i have not used any version personally but could use a HF version of you gave me some tube and the tool and said flare this. (ie ive stood over a guy doing it many times)

ablity to do a range of sizes of tube is a requirement also.

My brother in law has a flaring setup from snap-on and it's super nice. I loved using it..all nice and neat in it's own little case, but it was also very expensive..hehe..too rich for my blood

after visting a couple of local 4wheel drive shops (for other things) i inquired about what kinda of flaring tools they have. Actually got to watch them use this exact one and it worked flawlessly.

ive settled on this one

imperial brand

going to get it from grainger - set 275-FS
sizes 1/8-3/4 and swageing attachments for those sizes also.
