Well, I did some scouting, and wow....there is a lot of mud up there right now! Some parts of the gravel logging roads were slick as ice from all the surface mud. I was alone, so I didnt do anything real tough, stuck with some easy trails. Finaly called it a night around 2am, and camped in the bed of my truck, down in some swamp.

What a great way to start off a trip... Saw this moose in fryeburg

Its hard to see, but if you look close, its in the middle, didnt have time to roll the window down, I had been fumbling with my phone for a good couple min before I finally got it turned on again. This was just the first of many...I been goin up there for years, and never have I seen so many moose in a 24 hr period... I saw 7 just on the rt27 bypass, all in different spots, then about 6 more when I got off pavement... 2 huge bulls, 1 moma with calf, and the rest were cows.

Mooselookmeguntic lake from the 27 overpass

Where I woke up

believe it or no....it's quite comfortable in here...

Found some neat waterfalls way out in the middle of nowhere....seriously... 50+miles from pavement, down a 4x4 trail

Heres how the truck looked when I got home..... was much worse, but it rained all the way back

Other than hearing bear all around me all night....It was an excellent trip!! Hopefully next time I'll have a group so I can do the more extreme stuff.

Its not bad if ya dont get stuck, or break anything... but out there... it would have been a mighty long walk for help, if something bad did happen. Just go prepared and know your, and your trucks limits...
