Picacho- mild to wild

8 days at the River was a bit taxing on the skin and liver but it was a blast as usual.
Well our plan was to get there way before the craziness and stay through it. We just had a little bit of craziness sprinkled throughout the trip.
I arrived with my best bud and his girl on Saturday the 16th and were supposed to go pick up my daughter at the top of the switchback on Indian Pass at 11:30am. We got there and nobody was there so we drove until we got reception. Now we have to go back at 3:00pm and this time they are there waiting. Melly and Rob joined us and we brought the '98 escort down to 4-S to avoid any bandits or hoods messing with the car.
2 tickets were issued as we arrived back at camp.

can someone tell me how to post full sized pictures? These thumbnails are annoying. I have more pics to share as more of the group starts showing up.
Also how do you post more than three pics per post?

this trip looks awesome

desertcamper, most folks host pics at photobucket.com or another similar hosting site, then post each picture's identifying address from the hosting site into the Yotatech Message box, using the "insert link" icon. It's the one with the globe and chain in this box. Sounds more complicated than it is.

Post 'em up! I want to see the scenery and mayhem!

okay we are SLOWLY uploading the pics now.

This is my daughter, my best bud and me on the first night. Still very quiet although we had 2 friends, one with family and a neighbor couple. That guy had the most sophisticated fishing set up I've ever seen. Motion sensors on his pole holder with a pager type thing that would wake him up in his tent when he had a good bite. He had a 15 pounder on a stringer when we got there and he ate another one the next night. Offered us some but I think I wasn't thinking about food much or we already ate.

Hey Wormhole, No never did look for Bear Falls. I didn't drive at all after picking up my daughter. Now I have a DD, yeah. My buddies Jeep wasn't out of the shop in time for the trip so he just had an ancient ford f-100 2wd which HAD to stay parked the whole time.

I didn't get a ticket, thank the River Gods, bud my bud and the Rob got one each. It turns out that as they pulled into camp in front of me and Melly (Dave with beer in crotch) the kid in the escort passenger seat (Dave's nephew) trys to be a hero and save his uncle from a DUI and takes the beer with such force that it goes out the window and the ranger sees it. Rob gets a open container ticket and his Uncle gets a ticket for allowing an open container. This was all avoidable. Tomorrow night is a tough one for Rob

Hey Long-Haul, what part of St. Louis are you in? I used to live there during the high school years. I was in Ballwin and went to Lafayette. Class of '85

Awesome! I live in the city, Tower Grove/Morgan Ford area. Just moved here from Austin, TX. St. Louis has been a real pleasant surprise. Thanks for pushing through and posting your pics online!

Yeah that was the only way (quickest way) I could figure out to post 'em up. I've been messing around on the comp trying get better and resizing pictures. Would like to firgure out how to put music to a slideshow.
There must be a way to make the camera take 800X800 pictures so I don't have to resize every one.

I'm not familiar with those areas. I lived in west county and left in '85. I probably wouldn't recognize it anymore. I do remember Imo's pizza though.
