MUDN4RNR's GOT MUD! A Day at the Flats!

Hey Y'all,

Welcome to one style of Virginia Muddin'. These pics are from the area we call the Flats. It's called that because the grounds used to be 55 acres of wheat and corn fields. The land is totally flat, with irrigation trenches which are really bottomless and gooey and anyone with 33's won't make it! Some of the trenches are 3' wide and 2-3' deep while one is 10' wide and about 10' deep, with gooey swamp stinkin' mud that if you walk into it will sink you about 4' down until some bottom is hit.

The MUD at the flats is very slimy, slippery and little traction is available. The big pit, which in my excitement, I forgot to get a pic of is approximately 500 feet long and 50 feet wide. From the middle, it drops down to 3-5' of the nastiest, gooiest, slippery mud you've ever seen. Fullsize rigs have all they can do to keep momentum and try to make it through! It's that bad.

The first album shot is my YOAT 25 feet in and it only goes down from there! Look through to see some shots of our play area. It's cool! Donuts, spin-outs, you name it, you can do it here! It's that greasy!

There are a few stuck pics today. Not the deep pit type, just 6-8" deep on the surface. My Trxus' Mudders' packed up pretty good and wouldn't clean. Although most of the time I was in 2wd, open; but when stuck, rocking did no good, so to get out I needed 4HI.

Please enjoy. This is only one small sample, more to come of the muddin' we have here. This is the slinging, fun type.

About my rig

Hey Guys,

Thanks for lookin' at my post and enjoying the pics of my rig. I'm here in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In the stuck pics, I am in 4Hi. The drivers side front is spinning also. I'm open front and rear so yes, I do need lockers. The diffs were changing sides quite often. The reason I'm stuck is because this MUD is the greasiest, slipperiest, gooeyist MUD you've ever seen. It's completely flat and gums up your tires like nothing else. I'm running 35/12.50 Trxus' Mudders. I really like them, with the exception of being in the grease. They just turn to glazed donuts. I did eventually get out by some rocking and momentum. It was a blast!

This is where I was stuck, slippin and a spinnin sideways:

I just love the MUD. Can't get enough of it!

I'll be posting more MUD pics and stories as I hit more holes and trails.

Thanks!

Randy
