Mt. Nutt Wilderness Area Dec. 3rd
Marc P and I and a few friends went out a few Saturdays ago and did some exploring in the Mt. Nutt Wilderness Area near Bullhead City, AZ. These are some of the pictures taken. Unfortunately, the quality of the pics aren't the greatest, but you get the idea. Also unfortunately, some of the gnarlier sections didn't really get recorded for whatever reason. But anyway, here's a sampling of what I get to play in out here in the desert near the river...
Here's Marc and I getting ready to head out:

We went and checked out an old mine I knew of. Here's the approach:

Another of Marc:

Out in front of the entrance to the mine:

A couple of inside the mine (my buddy's wife, Amy. Say "hi", Amy!):

And more to come....

More pics...
These pics are from a video that my buddy Brian shot with his dig. camera. The resolution sucks, so you can't really see how off-camber that road is. Marc's runner looks very cool flexing, by the way...

These are just some various pics taken along the way. We saw at least a dozen wild burros that day.

This is a view from the top of Secret Pass, which will lead over the ridge down into what is known as "Golden Valley":

This was the downhill part of a trail that branched off at the top of Secret Pass. It doesn't look that crazy here, but there were a couple of narrow sections that were interesting:

Crossing the wash at the bottom of the ravine before going back up:

This gully proved to be an interesting obstacle. It was about 2' deep, and you just kinda had to put the tires in and gun it. The extra inch on Marc's 33's helped verses my 32's. I nailed it ok, but it got interesting at points. (Little tippy). Here's Marc coming up it:

Still more to come!

These are a few from a side trip up "Mossback Wash". These pics really don't do it any justice at all. It was really pretty.

Over the ridge, there is a trail that will take you to a pretty impressive natural arch. There are arrowheads and pottery scattered about, so it's obvious that it was used by Indians at one point. Here's a few of inside the arch:

And one of me hiking around on top of the arch:

And finally, a picture from across the river, looking towards the area where we were at:

I'm pretty sure Marc had a good time, I know I did! If any of you ever head out this way, let me know, and I can show you around a bit...

I'm a little late, but hey - COOL PICS!! That looks like a great trip. I have always wanted to do secret pass, but haven't made it there yet. Those rocks look astounding. I would definitely have to camp there and hike around a bit. That looks irresistable!

WORD. I agree... Right now, other than the occasional windy day, it's awesome out. I went climbing/hiking the other day up on the other side of the river, and it was just stunning... Lotsa fun...
