Marc P's B-day bash pics
Of the 20 people that voted for where to wheel...we had 4 trucks
Had a great time though..wheeled all day on Saturday, and had a great fire both nights.
Here are some pics...
SAS vs IFS on same obstacle
Jamies Obstacle
Brad took the same line I did last year...look similar?
Girls gone wild
The jets were buzzing
Wow dad..look at that flex

Hopefully Brad can get some of the pics that Juan took, he seemed to get alot of good ones.
See you guys next time.

Looks like fun guys. I really wish I could have made it out. Hopefully I can get my family healthy again and we can head out also.
Just to express how badly I wanted to be there I bought a Scorpion Rock crawler RC truck so I could at least play that way. LOL

The 2 girls had a blast together....My daughter really got into the wheeling/camping thing on this trip. Hopefully next time she will be excited to go.
It was really fun to take my truck on familiar trails with the SAS and new tires...it didnt skip a beat!

Hey Marc, looks like you had fun. Was bummed to miss it, I did get to go to Surf N Turf in Pismo, took my 2yr. old son with me he lasted all day and finally fell asleep during the movies by the fj cruiser trail team. All day today he kept asking to go back to see the "big trucks", ha ha I have got him hooked. I can't wait to catch a desert trip with you guys. It looks like the SAS is rockin' and the new kicks look good too!

Looks like fun. Wish I actually made it out there.
Here's my story.
Woke up 5:00am. Jumped in the shower.
Pushed the girlfriend out of bed, got in the truck and left the house at 5:30.
Excited to try out the newly rebuilt motor!
Cruising down the 78 freeway towards the I15. Just before Twin Oaks I realized that my truck was feeling sluggish. I give it some gas to to see why I'm barely hitting 50mph.
I hear the valvetrain rattling as I hit the gas, I look at the temp, all looks good.
Next thing I know my radiator cap is bubbling over. I go to pull over and the engine dies. I coast to the shoulder.
Pop the hood, open the oil cap......MILKSHAKE!
No external leaks on the gasket, but definitely blown inside. I think the radiator was the culprit, this time and last. I've only got 4-500 miles on my fresh rebuild (Brand New Head and remachined bottom end). Everything else cooling related had been replaced, so it has to be the radiator. I think it gets clogged and the pressure just builds until teh HG blows.
Anyway, Marc sorry I wasn't out there, but at this rate I wish I had flaked on ya. As soon as it's up and running again, I'm coming out to grab that brace. I feel like a douche.

I have 3 1/2 inch bumpstops on the front and the stock ones in back...I did get just a little rubbing on the inner fender well just above my steering box. I am not planning on going with 35's anytime soon.
I was pretty suprised with the amount of flex I got out of the front on this trip...having all 4 tires on the ground was a nice change.
Anthony...pay attention to the Superstition 9 planning...you will have a blast!!
