The first picture shows Pueblo Mountain and the big fence post, on the right, in the middle of the picture points to where the bomber site is, that meadow right under the peak.

The second picture we are right at the base of the meadow, just above of my truck on the right.
The rocky craig is the peak of the mountain.
Still about a mile from the site but it was the steepest part of the road. You can see the road winding up the mountain.
Remarkable views.
We also had to move a few boulders from our path.

When we crested onto the meadow this is what we saw, it stopped us in our tracks. We sat there for about 10 minutes, opened a beer, before we ventured to the site. It was heart stopping.

We spent about 4 hours at the site and then headed down the mountain to find a camp site.
On the way up, we crossed Denio creek with some water flowing in it and figured we would drive up creek to see if we could locate a camp spot.

We found a old herder's cabin or what was left of it right on the creek with a few small willow trees that we call home for the night.
With Pueblo Mountain as the back drop I made a quick dinner and then just sat and talk about the day and watched for falling stars.

I saw about 10 falling stars that night due to the Perseid meteor shower that was going on.

The first picture you can see Propeller Meadow on the mountain. It is just right of the peak, right center of the picture, where the peak slopes down and where the deep valley is.

The smoke kinda cleared out the next day so we went for a two hour hike in the morning.

Just like everything else out there, the sunrise was amazing.

Headed out later that morning to Willow/Whitehorse hot springs but check out some abandoned mines on the way out.

The hot springs were about 50 miles from Denio. 50 miles out there is just a drop in the bucket.
Been about three day since we had a bath and the veggies were getting ripe!

Had to pass thru Denio and saw this lonely phone booth out in the middle of nowhere so I had to take a picture.

Filled our gut and then headed back to Paisley base camp for the night but had to cross Catlow Valley and then into the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge and then across Warner Valley to Rabbit Hills and across Abert desert. It was a long drive but well worth it.

Well that is about it.
I have a bunch more pictures but that will do for now.

It is going to be hard beat this vacation but I am sure we can come up with another by next year. Probably go back to Pueblo Mountains becasue there is so much more to see there. I already have people bugging me to take them there to collect rock specimens.

I have all my gear all washed and packed up just waiting to go again at a moments notice.
