Peters Mill Run 6.5miles

It was a nice trip, weather was great. Close enough we could have just done a day trip. Not to exciting, the trail at this north end was only 6.5miles long, and relatively smooth.

Trail start

First stop about a mile in from Edinburg Gap Rd, was a pond

Smooth trail

Campsite, really just a pull off from the trail. There are campsites at either end of the trail. Heard two owls that night hooting to each other...pretty cool.

Our digs for the night. Air mattress, and 20* sleeping bags. This marks the first night (of many hopefully) i have ever spent in this truck.

I did remove the seat belt retractor.

Temporary Hi-Lift mounting, and part of our kitchen

On our way home

The End

Pretty cool, I always wondered about the trails there. I was talking to Ian about them a while back. Confused as how much it costs to run those trails.

It costs a whopping $5.00! You get the permits at the local filling stations.

It was nice, just wish it was a little more challenging. Next time i will have to venture to Taskers Gap, which is the south end of Peters Mill Run. We made a mistake, and thought Taskers Gap was only ATV, but looking over the map again it appears there is a decent trail, but it deadends.

Well guys heres the deal. The trip was good except being cut short by a nasty leg burn, and rain in the forecast, we ended up staying only one night and wheeling only Peters Mill Run. The trail was ALLOT more rocky then i was expecting and i think it was asking alot of my 31X10.50 Wranglers but we had fun, camping was excellent and cool at night, my buddies have jeeps so naturally we had some mechanical issues but we made it. If anyone would be interested to go again i would go, just post it here, i would want to do a weekend though because its a little drive from Baltimore. Here are some pics of the fun.
