Gila NF, NM Trip
Took a trip to the Gilla and found cool temps and 2 days with out a single paved road. My GF and dog provided great company over 300 miles of remote roads.
High Mesa camp overlooking the Mimbres and Gila rivers. 100+ miles from any service or civilization: #1 reason to go
The trip was a nice break from triple digits. Take extra gas or the will to ride a bike out.

Looks lush! I love NM, in fact I'm probably planning a getaway there in the next couple of months. Sadly it won't be a backroads adventure w/ the wife and new kid. Nice pics, although I would turn off that date stamp as it takes away from the scenery. You can still see when the pic was taken by viewing the properties on your computer.
