General Sam's March 08

huntsville texas, the last weekend in march here www.generalsams.com

as always it was a blast, in our group were 3 wranglers, my runner, a bronco, a blazer, 2 pathfinders, and a 1/2 homemade 3 wheeler

my 4runner is now on 33x13.5 swamper LTBs
with a 3" body lift to clear them(still ahd to take the grinder to the body, lol)

highlights:
the pathfinder in our group got stuck in the comp mud bog the first nite, and spent the nite in it, started leaking oil from the front main seal and the engine started knocking

in the 4runner, i hit a tree, lol you'll see the damage in a few pix(lost the corner light), tree ripped off my pass side view mirror, a diff tree ripped off my antenna
i didnt get stuck once, but i did kill my starter going thru hood deep mud on the first day.
i also lost nearly all my break fluid at some point, the brake pedal felt like the clutch pedal the second night out there, actually couldnt fully stop coming down a steep hill

the chick in the camo is my wife, she was very proud of the outfit she put together, she was supposed to pose next to both my rigs for pictures, but we forgot

anyways, here come the pix, there are way too many for me to give explanations throughout, but ill answer any questions afterwards
the reason my 4runner is hooked to the tow strap in a few pix is bc i had to be pull started for 2 days(only stalled once though!)

we are going back out memorial weekend, and i have more goodies for the 4runner in the mail

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun... and a lot of mud. Nice to see the Toyota represent so well.

Guess this guy didn't realize how deep it was :

thats actually right before the spot where i think i killed my starter, it got much deeper after that, and the mud was thick enough to dry and crack on the surface, hood deep on my yota
i actually wasnt gonna go, not for fear of getting stuck but the problems that mud was gonna cause, but my wife called me a wuss... so i had to go

ill be 1.5 higher come our memorial weekend trip, and hopefully no more over heating
