ExpeditionOverland's Videos
Not sure if you have seen these videos, but a crew of Toyota guy's and gal's have been in Alaska for some time now, and they are now up to six videos with the newest one posted yesterday.
Really good narration, and top HD video.
It would be a good idea to subscribe to their channel so you will get updates to the next video, but I will post it here too.
They have some older videos too from when they were taking local runs getting prepared for the big trip.
I just finished number four today, lots of marine life, and you get to see part of a glacier falling off into the ocean.
They missed a big chunk falling though, and did not capture it on film.

A little less than 18 minutes into the vid you will see why it is a great idea to have onboard air and a good tire repair kit.
I picked up the ARB one around Christmas time to replace an elcheapo tire repair kit I had for years.
Also got a kits for both of my sons for Christmas, and got them good air compressors too.

WOW! That is so bad ass! I watched the vids and this has me hooked. I just put an over landing trip at the number one spot on my bucket list. The thing is, I am as rookie as it gets and got a lot to learn. The other thing is my 4runner. Its a 1986 and not sure if that would be a good starting platform.
But my hat is off to those guys and gals for making a plan and sticking to it.

This is something I would like to do too when I retire five years from now.
Gosh, did I just say that?
I am getting old
It will not be as extreme as these guy's for sure, but would involve being out with the rig and sleeping on the roof for a few weeks.

It is fun to look at different options. And these guys look like they have a good crew that gets along good together. That is always important on long expeditions.
