eagle ridge run, coquitlam BC (pics)
Went out to run the eagle ridge trail here in Coquitlam BC with about a half dozen other rides, ranging from a lil 'zuk, couple of jeeps (a tj & yj on portals), couple of full sizes (J20 and F350), and a couple 1st gen 4Runners. The weather was awesome and I couldnt wait to test out my sliders from BigCountryCustoms. (Taran is a great guy btw and his work is top notch. Saw a couple bumpers he had on the go, and if youre contemplating a bumper, this guy is the one you want to build it.)
anyway, into the bypass we went, which had a bit of everything. mud, rocks, roots and lots of trees to navigate through. everone made it out ok, even the big rigs altough it was a bit tight.
We proceeded up the trail towards the lookout. Mostly rocks and ledges to climb. My runner breezed through it all, just needing some spotting here n there. Man i love that factory e-locker
Towards the top, the snow started to get quite a bit deeper, and when we saw an quad that was having trouble blazing a trail through the thigh high snow, we thought now would be a good time to back down. However, on the way down we ran into the Coastal Cruisers club on their way up, so they had to back down until they could find an opening where they could let us pass. The trail we took down was a different one than the one up, but more exciting. Steeper ledges, and bigger rocks really put my sliders to work.
I was running mad late for work, so i pretty much punched it through the maze of a bypass, sans spotter, and got to work just on time. whew. all in all, a great day....
total carnage: couple dents in the rear bumper, lots-o-pinstriping, bashed gas tank skid, and a pinched exhaust tip. not bad..not bad.

sun shining...looks like a great day to go wheeling!

yeah, pretty much a body lift n some mudders on there...as far as i can remember. auto n open diffs, the lil zuk did pretty well. I think on our way down he was in the process of tearing off his gas tank skid..heh. Thing took a beating...ground clearance was his biggest issue...
