Mine is fine, couldn't even see a chip in the paint after it was washed. Maybe you didn't drive fast enough

Oh, c'mon! You're kidding me about not having any chips, right? I just had mine washed yesterday too. That's how I noticed it. Now what? Redo the powdercoating? Yipe$! I'll probably just brush on some Rustoleum. Those BFG A/T's must've been firing off rocks like crazy during our faster sections.

P,
Are they thru the pc all the way? I remember when we put them on you got one with a 3rd layer of pc.

In any case, you can lightly sand it and spray some black rattle can over the areas. I didn't get any chips either, btw.

Serious, I specifically looked and didn't have anything.

I will look again.

As James said no need to redo the PC. Just touch up sections where required. If you rattle can I would suggest to get some of the new blue masking/painter tape and cover the sides and top of sliders that are not affected. Then you can spray away at the bottom while the top will still look nice.

Bob, I doubt you guys were close enough to catch any rocks flying from Mark or my 4Runner

And that is why some people recommend just spray paint rather than expensive powder coating. I used cheapo spray on bed liner on my sliders and it's fine after the last DV trip.

I just pulled off my skids... they need repainting. And my sliders are blasted pretty bad on the bottom. They're getting painted too.

And I need to replace about half the bolts on the skid plates... Methinks I use them too much!
