Yeah there were just too many people and too little time for sure. I saw you were in a rush to get back home as I was walking up from French Creek. Maybe next year we'll have more time to chat.

By chance did you get a .gpx of Iron Chest? Our club is trying to gather information on adopting it and preventing its closure.

PM me for contact information.

Thanks!

Andrea and I had a great time we went on some mild runs and made a mess of our trailer at night but enjoyed ourselves and the company of the rest of you none the less. THANK YOU Aaron for setting us all up for a great weekend and reminding all of us what it's all about: Having Fun!!

And THANK YOU Scotty for the BITCHIN bumper raffle, I'll be painting it tomorrow and welding it in some spots (not permanently until the winch is on) so that I can "test it's strength". You Rock

It was bolted on that night.

I don't have a hard core rig (yet) but Don G from COTTORA and I went on some scenic trails on Friday here's some pics:
some on the way to Pomeroy lakes

On the way to Hancock pass

Don and I at the summit

Don posing

Alpine Tunnel

Williams pass

I have to say that I had a great day and got to see a lot of scenery with a good 4 wheelin buddy. I have more pics, uploading right now, of Mt. Antero. post em up in a bit.

He had a GPS and started up Iron Chest on Sat but turned around after a broken mirror.

New favorite picture shot by Eric's friend Andy!

Squeeze rock right after V-Notch!

I'll post more of his pictures later this week. He got some great shots!

Holy Cross - August 1st, 2008

Jeff making this climb look easy!

Jared and his new buildup doing well

Up and over

Dale and his ultra-clean truck!

Eric sporting the new 6" front stretch and Pitbulls

Kyle working up the ledge

Jeff on the far right line of French Creek

Issac and his 4Runner crossing French Creek

Wheelstand out of the creek!

Jared back down

Andy rocking Eric's YJ down the ledge

Pretty ugly without the front fenders and multi-tone paint

Cory and his well-tested Toyota.

Jeremiah and custom 85 4Runner

BV Carnage - August 2nd, 2008

At the trailhead

Tough line for a short wheelbase rig!

Sideways in V-Notch. A little windshield frame damage and some scratches to the cage is all that resulted

Big ledge that eats crossmembers. Good thing for the flatbelly.

Cory spotted me through the squeeze. I couldn't make it...... (notice the height of the rock on the driver's side)

So he had me just drive over it

Very tough spot on this trail

Cory shows us the squeeze line.

Jeremiah follows

The exit. Worst part about this trail. The rock in the middle of this picture wasn't there last year and made the exit climb way tougher than last year.

Eric's home free!

Hunting for traction on those dirt-covered rocks

Wrong Carnage.

Carnage Boulder is closing, and is not very hard. Stock trucks with bad drivers get up it all the time.

Carnage Buena Vista (the trail pictured here) is not closing and is extreme.
