2005 Toyota Jamboree, hosted by the TinBender's

This year's run was quite difficult, mostly because of the rains earlier in the year that moved the boulders around a bit. Photo's Here

Friday I went with a group up Outer Limits, but only ran the lower portion, since there was no way I was gonna be able to complete this trail unless I was driving a full on buggy.

Saturday's run was up Claw Hammer where the first 2/3's went flawlessly, then during the climb up a waterfall, something broke in my front diff, my guess it's part of the ADD actuator coupler system. I ended up completing the trail in 3WD with the assistance of my winch. Got a ding in my passenger front door, dented up the tank again, plus my slider and bumpers got a very good workout.

sweet pics Bruce. wish i could have made it out there. just couldn't afford the gas... glad the Runner made it through alright. hopefully the front diff problem isn't anything major. good stuff representing us IFS guys too.

DAMN Bruce... I am in aw over your pics and your truck, although i have seen pics of your truck before i never really looked into your setup... I am very impressed with your truck... Also, your truck makes me sure of my decision to get the Total Chaos long travel suspension. I originally was going to just go with a 4" suspension lift, with Bilstein shocks... But then i ran into Flint, one of the fabricators for TC, and he said the kit for my truck is only $1200 ($400 more than the 4" kit w/shocks would have run me) plus fiberglass fenders and the CV's... I figure the TC setup will run me about double the cost of the 4" kit, but i will be alot happier with it. Then i was getting a bunch of people digagreeing with me because i do trail riding and rock crawling, and hardly ever jump the truck. People kept telling me to just SAS it, but i would rather go with long travel IFS... Anyways... How do you feel about the TC setup? Pros and cons that you can think of? Do you have AIM or any other instant messenger, hit me up sometime maybe?

nice pics bruce.

i saw the clawhammer trail a few weeks ago, it definitely looked/is challenging. nice job on completing it, esp partly in 3rd.

it's a shame i couldn't make it out this past weekend, but my mini-run out there a few weeks ago was fun, and these pictures are some nice eye-candy.

that's too bad about your door, but we all know it's part of the game. at least it's nothing worse as far as body damage. looks like the bumper did its job.
i'm curious what did fail in the front diff, if it is the suspected (yet usually unlikely) add actuator coupler system. keep us up to date.

Anyone else bummed they didnt win the pickup in this picture-

That would have been so sweet to win that. The part that really sucks is the guy who won the truck already has a very nice toyota crawler. I wouldn't have felt bad if a dude w/out a truck won it, but come on...
