Need help with laptop display brightness
Trying to help a friend fix his laptop display. He has a toughbook, but the brightness is pretty dark and he is having trouble reading it. Typically you can just hit the FN button and adjust the brightness with one of the F keys, however it is not working on his. I cant raise it or lower it with the FN+F2/F3 key. Is there a way I can increase display brightness on a laptop in windows?

Try loading the BIOS. There may be brightness settings in there. I don't think there is any Windows=controled way of raising or lowering the screen brightness (unless the laptop comes with some software to do this.
