immediate document recovery help needed!
Hey, do yall know how to revert the computer back like a little while ago to get a file i think i just lost? I have no idea what just happened but I tried to write this word file to a cd and it said do you want to open a cd writable folder. so i said yes and then i went to go get it and it said do you want to revert to the saved version of this file. I said yes, and it wiped it all off-7 pages.
now when i open it after i restarted it keeps asking me the same question and whether i say yes or no i get the same blank page.. I just saved this file in its entirety less than 30 minutes ago.. Am I absolutely screwed on getting it back?

It reverted to a previously saved version that the auto-recovery feature automatically saved at an earlier time (like probably as you first started). When you chose to revert, you opened the old version, which was less complete. See if the Windows CD write utility created a CD Image. There may be an icon in the bottom right, saying "files waiting to be written to CD" It may have saved the file there. Also, double check "MY Documents" to see if you can open it. It should still be around somewhere if you did save it in its entirety. If you did NOT save since you started, you may be screwed if it reverted to a blank document.
Good luck

i checked the cd writing utility, it did not save it there as I did not get that far before this happened. Everywhere i check the file, i get a blank page. What I dont understand is that if I pull up the file in word, and the while word is open, try to open the file again from the menu, it asks me if I want to revert to the saved version. Clicking yes or no gets me the same blank document.. It has to be somewhere.. I never re-saved it after I saved it in its entirety and never told it to overwrite or do anything of that nature..
