Scion Radio Swap in '98 4runner
Was out doing my thing this weekend and found a very nice Pioneer deck made for the 2005 Scion, DEH-M8047ZT is the model number. I pulled the deck and then found a '97 4runner, checked the connections and they fit perfect! so picked this bad boy up for install into my '98. I have the 3disk OEM radio in my '98.
Took the radio bezel apart, removed the OEM unit and then swapped out the brackets, piece of cake! Went to install the radio but the plugs don't match. I was hugely bummed! Now I have to try to figure out how to make this thing work without cutting wires but even if I cut the wires, I have no idea what wires would go to which pins.
Here in lies my delimma. If anyone has any wiring diagrams of the stock 3 cd cartridge OEM 4runner radio and the newer 2005 Scion radio (see number above) or any other useful suggestions on making this swapp I would like to hear from you. thanks
