Orion subs and amp

My knowledge of car audio comes from Crutchfeild manufactures. So i really don't know of the "other" market of audion equipment.

So I have an opptunity for a trade here. I am giving up Leg Pads (Ice Hockey). The guy has 2 10" orion xtreme subs w/an orion colbalt cs100.2 amp. So I have never heard of Orion. So what do you think of that set-up...
I kinda think the amp is underpower alot, so I could use that amp till i get a higher powered one then use the CS100.2 for another set of speakers.

some specs that I have found:
AMP:
Variable high pass crossover 30Hz-1kHz
Variable low pass crossover 30Hz to 2.5kHz
XBC12 Bass Boost
8 gauge power/ground
16 gauge speaker
High efficiency heatsink
PWM power supply

2 Ch x 50 Watts @ 4 Ohms
2 Ch x 100 Watts @ 2 Ohms

I've used orion in the past; I had some 12" subs. They were amazing! It sounds like a good swap to me. You can build a nice box to have that amp work out with those and have tons of power; look around the net for specs.

That does sound like a good swap. I have a 10" orion XTR 3 Dual voice coil with 350 watts RMS going to it. I have been running it for probably 5 years and it's still going strong. That amp may be a bit underpowered for them but if they are DVC subs you can run em at 2ohms to get 100 watt each i bet they would sound damn good if in the right enclosure. I would go for it if i were you.

Trying to find out if the XTR's are SVC or DVC.

How about this? Same amp.
2 10" Orion XTRs
OR
1 12" Orion Cobalt (200RMS/400MAX)
