Mounting door speakers?

That is a nice setup Bob. Very clean looking. I see it does work with a 5 speed I just dont know if I want it that tight down there...that and the fact that if I do some simple door install I can put the money I saved towards more goodies.

just did a speaker install in my doors. it went bad at first, but its all fixed now, and sounds really good. mine are mounted to the panels, and there doesn't seem to be any problems.

A head's up on door installs. Check the depth of your speaker and match it with how much room you have in the panel. If the speaker's too deep, you won't be able to roll the window down all the way.
If that ends up being the case, you can buy prefab spacers to bring the speaker out farther away from the door, or fab them yourself. Either way, remember to seal up the hole as best you can. You want to hear the speaker, not the out-of-phase air pushing out from around the lip.
