is there any reason why you want a 5 channel amp? reason being is they are normally very expensive due to power they put out and they adjustability they can do. i have in my wifes car a alpine pdx-5 its small but cost nearly $600.00bucks. most are larger. if your gonna run lets say 1 pair of front speakers 1 pair of componets and 1 sub. for the money your better off getting two amps and wire them accordingly, with a dual sub wiring harness. its very simple and you can tune the sound & bass more to your own liking. fosgate makes VERY good quality product and have been around forever, personaly i dont like their speakers i prefer eclipse, alpine, but their subs and amps are great. hope this helps

wow pdx for 600 you can get it half off on ebay. tell me how does that pdx5 run. i just want to do it 1 time and be done with it. im tire of of my 10in bazooka.

i have a Kicker KX350.4...it's actually a VERY nice amp..yea you asked for a five channel..but still lol
a 4 channel plus a mono amp for your choice of sub would sound A LOT better dude

yea the pdx is like a wet dream ! haha but it seriously is ive had prob like 2 dozen amps and that one by far is the greatest. i like the adjustablity of it all tuning is super great and if i wanted to i could add another amp and stack it and that i prob the thing i like the most. it doesnt over heat or nothing. your gonna be pushing a 10 bazuka?

no i had one of those built in amp tube with a 10 it got the low but to hollow i need something that is punch. so now school me on what kinda box do i need for a punchy sound ( seal, ported, or bandpass)

from what I remember when I was doing car audio years ago, if you want punch for rock go ported, if you want low low base go sealed. Bandpass boxes I would consider SPL competition only, shouldn't be used as a daily driver since the sound quality is usually not there compared to ported and sealed. Sealed Box size usually depends on what type of sub you are gonna go with. Most good manufactures will list size requirements of their subs. Tube size on a ported box usually depends on what frequency your looking to get the best db out of. Ported boxes can be used for low low base as well, but because of the freq response cut-off below the tuned frequency is so great, much more power to the sub would be required. If your like me and listen to alot of different styles of music sealed is probably the best way to go although because they aren't tuned to a specific freq these types usually require a little more juice to get the same spl out of them. Don't confuse this with what I said about needed more power for a ported box, as this is only if you want more punch below its tuned freq.

I would. but before buying a box look at subs first, then see what box size they recommend. I am somewhat impartial to the JL audio stuff as far as subs go.

well the amp is stable at one ohm how many ohm do you recommend 4 ohm 280 rms 2 ohm 400rms 1ohm 600rms

^ thats actually the other way around. if you want low bass go with ported, for tight accurate bass go with sealed. in my ol' ladys car we did a ported box with 1 Rockford fosgate 12 Power. yea go for a 12 sub. i saw a great post were a guy did a 12 i think in his runner but cut out some of the back panel. and it looked great give me a few and ill find it.

i got 2 kickers cvrs in my 4runner and love them.
if i was u i would just get 1 kicker 12" L5 or 2 kicker 10" L5s. they are very nice subs and worth the money. they are also square subs so they hit harder then the circles.
