A youtube channel with helpful user videos might go a long way, I understand it'd be difficult to filter them for quality but could be helpful to people.

I'd like to see a bunch more active members, a lot of the members I find while looking through builds haven't been active in several years. I know that's hard considering most of our trucks are older and aren't being purchased regularly like new cars. Maybe have regional meet ups? I saw we have a yotatech store but when I looked into it I didn't see anything with yotatech on it, it was just regular clothes we would buy in stores. How about some yotatech designed shirts or something. Something so the public can see and create interest. I know I'm probably one of the newest members here and my opinion doesn't hold much weight but I enjoy this forum and I'd love to see it more active and grow.

I did just see that there are some stickers in there and thats good. I'll buy some as soon as I can afford it but shirts will be awesome.

Could add a couple of things to the list (didn't read the whole thread so maybe dupes).

User based store, kind of like ebay's buy it now setup. 3wheelerworld has this setup, but to be honest, I don't think it gets enough traffic.

Some sort of buyers guide for parts, what brands to use, what known brands that have caused problems etc. Common one is to buy NGK or Denso plugs in the correct setup for OEM. Could probably be a thread/sticky

The FAQ idea is a great one, ecomodder has something similar. They are all about getting better MPG, so they have a page that lists 101+ tips on how to get better MPG. For here it could be common problems and possible solutions, or a list of upgrades that are direct bolt in for the different models. Tips on identifying different era parts (like old vs new style 22r blocks). All the info, or most of it is there, it just hasn't been collected into one spot. Only downside I can see with this would be maybe slightly less questions, but for those that ask a question covered could just be linked to the "FAQ". and be told where to look.

G'Day, Corey and admins!
I hope you and loved ones are all well.
I would like to see "Diagnostics Equipment / Tools" Sub-section in "Electronics" section, because many of these are common to various year-models of Yota's.
For now, I'll start a thread for OBD2 Readers/ Scanners somewhere. I hope you could transfer it to more appropriate section.
Cheers!

There is a Tool Time sub-forum. It is kind of buried in the off-road tech section though.

While on the subject of admins, who are our current admins?

It has been quite some time since I have seen an admin update.

Other than Corey, I only see Dropzone as an active admin the rest haven't posted anything in a while.

I bought a 95 pickup and it's proven hard to figure out what all the wear items are, maybe in the how2 section for vehicles make lists of what the wear items are for the stock vehicle.
I bought it with 330k miles and everything is sloppy and I want to go through and replace every wear item from brakes to engine mounts and gaskets. But also if anyone wishes to send me a list or show me that I didn't use the search function well enough to find wherever a list like that might be, I'd much appreciate it.

Best to use the "Google" option on forum search. Other options are lame and will give you irrelevant results.

Great site and would suggest the following changes/mods:
1). Group the trucks by Generation years. Don't know why the 1984 to 1988 trucks are not one group. And not part of Gen 2 or Gen 5 which they have little in common. Never understood that organization.
2). Allow a poster to be able to delete their posts. I have on occasions made double posts or misread a post and replied incorrectly. I can't delete my posts.
3). Allow drag and drop of pictures into a reply. A picture is worth a ...............!

YotaTech was established as mainly an off-road Toyota truck forum, so the break between '84-85 and '86-95 was created to separate the trucks with Solid Front Axles from trucks with Independent Front Suspension.

Never knew that, as mine is a 2WD truck. I can now see the differentiation. Thanks for the info.
