Supercharger & Bypass valve?

Supercharger & Bypass valve?
I've got a Eaton M90 supercharger that I'm looking to adapt to my 3.4. I know there's a TRD supercharger available but I already have this one to use
The issue is the blower did not come with the bypass valve and I'll need to fab one in but don't fully understand how the bypass is supposed to work. My understanding is it is supposed to recirculate air from the output back into the input stream to reduce parasitic loss in a non-boost situation??? I believe this valve is somehow controlled by vacuum??? The supercharger is an Eaton M90 and has input in the top and output in the back
Is anyone familiar with superchargers and have any info on how this is supposed to work?
Any diagrams would be great
Tks

Fyi, I'm not sure this forum will be your best bet for supercharger woes.. Connecting to your 3.4, maybe.
