Thank you. Actually I brought it home and finished it over Christmas break so my teacher hasn't seen it finished yet.

Hey that would be really cool. I wonder how I would go about doing that or even how much they would sell for? Maybe if a few people were interested...

Just make a 2 dimensional illustrated parts list. You would just need to have the dimensions shown for each piece and maybe the angles for those without trig skills. Something they could transfer measurements from onto a flat sheet of metal. I've been looking for something like that so I don't have to do the mock-up work. (I'm lazy). You'd want to copyright the plans so nobody could reproduce them(legally). Try talking to a metal fab shop with a burn table and see what they need for a cut list.

-So, do you think Duplicolor bed liner is a good product?
-Man it's the only bed liner I can find down here for my truck...But everybodys says it's not a good product...
Thanks in advance and great work man...!!!

Don't mean to high-jack this thread. I've used the Dupli colour bed liner before on my nerf bars, gas tank armour and my front skid plate, it doesn't even hold up to foot traffic let alone rocks and mud. Can you get Line-X or Vorcan down there?

I think it will work good for my bumper. My brother used the same stuff on his bumper and it has held up well. I don't see it holding up very well in a pickup bed where heavy stuff is going to be loaded and stuff sliding across it. It's not nearly as rough or hard as real spray in or roll in liners, but it is more durable than paint and a lot less expensive than the other bed liners.

_Thanks guys...!

(Sorry for high-jack a little your thread nick89toy...and thanks again for the info)

-Michael1963: No line-X or Vorcan as far as I know...Only Duplicolor Bedliner at our (local and standarized) newly arrived autozone.

-I want to make a home made soft-top, and I'm looking for some paint/liner option for my bed...

Nice...

nick89toy- for being in highschool, you've shown some serious talent, planning and fore thought. Not to mention determination...taking a school project home to finish over the break...I know it's for the truck and fun but seriously man...GOOD JOB. And don't let your desire to fab things stop there...keep the progress going...maybe someday we'll see you on here as a vendor..?

BTW- I like the bumper...I just might have to copy it with the round lights and all...do you mind? I normally like just the tube bumpers, but this is good stuff...

i've used the duplicolor on my '86 pickup on the lower half of the truck...and it's held up to some fist size rocks being thrown at it by my old super swampers..and allllllllllll kinds of brush and thorns and big sticks and crap.

you can't just use one coat of it though, i used about 5 or 6 coats of it..and then for the last coat i held the can away about 1ft away maybe 1.5ft and that gave it a "rough" look.

hold it close for the last coat and it seemed to be a lil smoother

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your support.

Snowshredder555- Go for it! I don't mind at all. Just don't forget to pick yourself up a set of resistors like these
I threw the splicing connectors away that came with them and soldered them in instead.

Also you would only need two, that was the only picture of them I could quickly find on the internet.

Cool design, kinda looks like...........some others I know of. Must be in the local air since Moscow is only 30mi from here. It's good to see H.S. kids learning and making their own stuff.
