Rubicon Express joints with Rear leaf swap questions
i got some Rubicon Express joints for my rear leaf spring swap in my 94 4runner for mounting the shackle side of the springs
my question is how should i mount them.... to the frame or to the shackle?? allpro mounts their johnny joints to the frame but where i got the joints the guy recommend to weld the shackle to the joint and bolt that to the hanger making the rear spring hangers much like the front mount. any pics of people using these types of joints
also i got a 4cyl 4runner housing to mount an e-locker into but i have a V6 housing now... what is the difference between the two besides the extra cutting of the 4cyl housing. are they the same strength

housings should be the same for v6 and 4 cyl its just the carrier thats diff (2 vs. 4 pinion) so you're planning on putting the elocker into the 4 cyl (i'm guessing leaf ready or truck) axle then swapping that whole unit into place when you hang the springs? I personally would put em into the eyes of the spring like AOR's orbit eyes I was going to do that when I swapped in my chevys but my rear has more then enough flex for me with IFS up front. What kind of springs are you going to be running?
