But surely those are not waterproof?

EDIT: Although, I guess it couldnt be to impossible. I have dry bags for my hiking gear, and they aren't air tight...for God's sake, its a bag. But it doesnt let my stuff get wet out on the trails...something like that would work.

That is a pretty good looking box. I thought about trying this out on my truck, but i still have the stock airbox and stuff... I just did the deckplate in lieu of buying an intake... Which by the way 91... I wonder if you could just mod a stock 3.4 airbox to work...seems like it would...

Why dont you put a deck plate on the box with a makeshift breather. Take the deckplate off and you have alot of air. Put the deckplate on, and have another tube heading to the back of the engine bay to alow air in for when driving through water.

i was just gonna mod my 3.0 box to make it fit, but when i went to change out the intake i noticed that the truck had been in a little front fender bender and the acutall box was craccked everywhere. its all good, no body stretching or anything like that, no frame damage, but all the mounts were broken, thus the whole bottom was missing. once i get back from my weekened away ill be sure to get working on that box!

you know, Ive beenthinking about gregs post...and I wonder if once you built the plexi box, if you could just put a deckplate in that? Say Top Dead Center, that'd be sweet. Probably look pretty cool too.
