Going completely off the shelf:
-$150 front axle
-$250 Springs hanger
-$100 axle rebuild
-$300 front springs
-$100 front shock hoops
-$1500 front ARB'd High pinion third with the correct gears
-$100 wheel spacers or $300 for a wide axle kit
-$320 Longfields
-$230 Chromo Inner Axles
-$150 Shocks
-$100 brake lines, etc.
-~$450 for steering
-$350 drive shaft mods, new front shaft
After that, your rear is still at stock height and you have not welded anything on to the truck.
Some of the cash is recovered after selling the IFS stuff.
Personally, I would drop some more dime on 7100 Bilsteins and this list would be the do it once off the shelf swap.

The fan was like $200 +/- from Summit Racing. Install was easy. There is a slight improvement in acceleration. There isn't one mod that is a huge performance enhancer for this engine except maybe headers and a good performance exhaust.

You'd still need springs front and rear, hangers front and rear and you're done with parts.
The labor to do front and rear is about a day or two for each end, if you have a friend or two to help. It's a lot of grinding, cutting and welding. It's not terrible complicated, but time consuming.

In terms of how it compares to other setups, other than chomoly drive shafts (which the jury is still out on). This has everything thing done, that you can have done. 5.29 gears will let you run up to 37" tires without problems. ARB lockers are well known to be about the best and most desireable lockers on the market. The AllPro hysteer set is probably the most commonly used hysteer crossover setup on the market. The Longfield joints (these replace the stock Toyota Birfields) are now considered the leader in the market. The rear disc brake conversion is very desireable for anyone running larger tires. I just completely rebuilt the rear end 2 weeks ago with new bearings, seals, brake calipers and pads!
Here's what it costs if you were to start from scratch.
$250 - Used front end in good shape. Yes, you can find them a little cheaper, but they're harder and harder to find and I said in good shape.
$350 - Bearings, knuckle and hub rebuilt kits, seals
$250 - 5.29 gears
$650 - ARB Locker
$150 - Master install kit for diff
$250 - Labor for gear and locker install - I wouldn't attempt this on your own.
$100 - FJ40 rotors
$150 - 1 1/2" wheel spacers (to make the front almost as wide as the back.
$300 - Longields - with a core (if he's still taking used cores).
$300 - Allpro Hysteer arms
I also have a complete spare housing, left and right knuckles, stock birfield, short and long axle to go along with it. About $300 from a junk yard.
For those of you who are going to argue on prices, don't. I've already paid for this stuff so I know what it does cost. I know you CAN find some this cheaper and you can find it for more. I rounded prices to make it easy.
The total value separately for this is $2800. I'm selling for $1250 completely assembled.
On the rear end, I've converted this over to a leaf spring system.
$400 - Converted rear housing with axles
$200 - Bearings, seals
$350 - Caliper conversion kit
$250 - 5.29 gears
$650 - ARB Locker
$150 - Master install kit for diff
$250 - Labor for gear and locker install - I wouldn't attempt this on your own.
The price for this would be $2250 if you did it from scratch. I selling this for $1250 as well - completely rebuilt 2 weeks ago!
I have interested parties for one end or the other, various parts, etc. But I don't want to part these out if I don't have to. I rather sell the complete combination to one person.
I also have a set of AllPro standard cross over arms, I MAY have the tie rods and drag links for sale if I go to full Hydro steering on my new set up.
PM or email me for further info.
BTW if you want some pics (prior to they Hysteer setup that I did just recently... www.faithwheelers.com. There are lots of pics of the rig in the trip reports.
