Expedition Ops Outfitters Rear bumper prototype
I don't generally post here, as you can see my count is pretty low. I spend alot of time on Mud and Expo Portal. You guys have a great group here. My lil' Sis in on this forum and you guys have been really helpful with her Runner.
So I thought I'd share some Taco pics with you guys to give back a bit and to get your feedback and opinions.
A good friend of mine came to visit the Expedition Ops shop for a visit and within hours we had pulled the broken rolling tonneau cover and decided to build him a rear bumper. His truck bed is getting a drawer/storage system put into it in the very near future and water system... This truck is an overland style build and relatively early in the build process.
Here is a link to the Facebook page with all the images. I'd love to hear your opinions, this is a prototype and will be refined in the future builds. I already have some changes to make personally, ie. dual swingout instead of single, better integration of Hi-Lift mount, swingout stops reduced in size and relocated, tube rear quarter protection, and a chamfer to the bottom up of the bumper... you guys know how it goes.
Thanks for the info and the views.

Thanks, Swimmer and Toyo.
Depending on the difference in mounting positions and the body lines, we should be able to accomodate your 1st Gen.

Ps. I used to live in Medford, NJ.

If you had a welder and a cutter, we could work out a kit for your truck, requiring you/a fabricator to do the final fitment and paint. Otherwise, if you wanted to take a trip to beautiful Minnesota, we could build it here. I don't have prices established yet. I haven't even decided to sell them, but if there is interest, it wouldn't take much to twist my arm to build one or several. Let me know when you're ready and we can discuss details and how to do it.

The goal of posting this wasn't to sell them but offer a "this is what we did" post. Sorry Mod's. The design is free for the taking and I'll even help give specs if someone needs them.

Bumper update! Johnny spun the truck on snowy roads in CO and slammed into a barrier on the rear quarter protection. Johnny and the truck survived without a scratch, and the bumper held up great! We were both pretty excited, true impact testing! The guard rail on the other hand, didn't make out quite as well.
