Rear Brake line extension...

Is it necessary to get the rear brake line extensions for lifting a tacoma? It will be a 2.5" suspension and 1.5" body.

Probably. On some trucks you can get by if you unhook the clips from the frame brackets and uncoil some of the brake line on the fronts, and just unhook the frame bracket in the back. Lots of trucks run this way, but it is not the correct way to do it. IF you did that, make darn sure they can't chafe or get caught on anything. Lift, wheels and tires, dash monitor, gears etc will set you back 3 grand or even more - for another $80 why not just put braided extensions on and know that you won't suffer brake failure on the top of Hell's Revenge or something.

Yeh i was just making sure it was a typical thing to do. I dont mind paying for it if it is necessary.

Im gonna get the 20" extended stainless steel braided brake line from toytec. Its only $30 and I can get it shipped with my diff drop and shackels.

Thanks guys!
