Alternator Upgrade Help??

okay i currently have

- a radio (faceplate)
- medium sized subs
- 2 100 watt KC slimlites
- 2 100 watt Pro Comp lights
- 4 back up lights
- a CB radio plugged into my cigarette lighter ( not sure if this effects anything)

**I'm wanting to add 2 Hella 500FF but i think my battery or alternator will just screw up or drain way to fast or something**

I put a new battery in today (interstate battery) by the way also

i want to upgrade my alternator but i have no clue where to start??

any help

Ah, search?

Well, you can upgrade the internals, buy a HO alternator, GM one wire, dual battery...

1992 toyota mr2 with p/s has a 100 amp alternator that should work with your truck i know it will hook directly to my 88 4runner you just have to extend the adjuster bracket. and if you do that you may need to upgrade the main battery fuse.

Extra battery just buys you time before the battery dies. If you want to run more stuff, you need a bigger alternator, PERIOD.

Search for Boyle Future Tech. A couple of us have sent our in - I have been very happy with mine. It's doing about 140A Max, and like 60A at idle (which is when we need more power from our alternators!) It installs perfect since it's your housing and wire connection and everything.
