Sequoia 4WD - Rev limiter?
I need some help here fellas.
I purchased a 2003 Sequoia 4X4 and just found out about the rev limiter when in 4WD. I was heading up a muddy slope and was unable to get into the power right near the top, the engine wouldn’t rev above 3K rpm’s.
Now I have read that if I’m in low range in drive 1 it counter acts this but sometimes I would like a little more power when in the loose stuff (mud and snow). Is there any way to override this? Am I able to flash my ECU, pull a fuse, or snip a wire? Did I just buy a soccer mom taxi?
Appreciate any insight or explanation anyone can extend.
Thank you!

for the most part i would say unless u have the ecu reprogrammed more than likely u can not over ride it, now if u can get a hold of the wiring for it and look it over and see if it shows a speed sensor or rpm sensor wire for the 4wd portion of the Sequoia and doesn't also feed any other system then u can snip it and try. well i would disconnect but you get what mean.
