My dad has an 2000 2wd, LOTS of power so really fun to drive. When you drive it to get good milage you get anywhere from 18-21. Just did a trip to L.A. he drove it down with like 20mpg and I drove it back up with 17/18mpg because of headwind and I love to feel the power. lol

I now have an 05 DC limited Phantom Gray with 29k miles on it. So far I like it with the exception of the very slight vibrations I feel between 45 and 55mph in the front end. Almost feels like CV vibration on a lifted IFS. Other than that, it is very comfortable to drive and the size is just right for my needs.

Anyone have experience with hard wiring an ipod to the factory JBL stereo?

i have a 05 tundra with the 4.7 its fast good gas milage and i pull a 24ft center counsel all day with no prolblems. You should get one best truck i have had

I bought mine with 93,000 miles bout year and half ago. Its a 2000 and I paid $10,000 for it. I love it, big upgrade from a 4cyl ranger..... Has great power and reliability. I tow my other truck with it on a big trailer and been doing 90 without knowing it and it didnt struggle one bit. Hope you find one that you like

I've had a 2004 Tundra since new Dec. 03. I had a 04 Tacoma before it but needed a bigger truck.

It has been flawless. New tires at around 53,000 miles and brake pads in the front. I just put in new shocks all the way around on Monday as I've now got 77,000 miles on the truck, nice and stiff again. Not a single issue with the truck. I tow a snowmobile trailer in the winter and a 6,000 lb boat/trailer the other 3 seasons, I pulled the boat when new from FL to MA, no problem at all.

well, heres my issue--

i have a 93 pickup now, but it doesnt hold a baby seat so well..
the problem is, im still addicted to off roading, but tundras dont look like they would do any better off road than the yukon i had..
Im torn between finding a new truck that actually does something when I hit the gas, but I can still get the same off road performance I get from my crunchy taco..
Im real new to the tundra scene; anyone straight axled one and been happy with it as a dd after? And can I get one with a manual trans?
any light would be appreciated

the Tundra is no wimp off road. i took mine to some steep, bumpy hard for others trails. the TRD LSD came in handy. and the power REALLY made my blood flow! i was in love with that motor! and the comfort and looks really are top notch. a double cab is better functionally, but looks go to the access cab. and mine got a good 28MPG on the highway. it has also towed a MASSIVE confined space simulator (forget the wieght).

Just got a 2006 double cab 4wd sr5. gas mileage is good for a v8 truck. 18-19 mpg highway and 15-16 city. It's taking a while getting use to the size. Can't park it in narrow spaces like the 95 pickup. but i'm quite happy with it.
