93 cruiser loss of power

i had a loss of power and hesitation so i changed the fuel filter , i thought that was it but no. so i looked at the maf and i bought a can of maf cleaner best they had sprayed it very lightly and let it dry . i reconnected the harness amd started the engine now the check enginer light is on and i have little power it will go about 70 mph but down hill going up it will go about 30 mph . i am lost i disconnected the power over nite to reset the ecu but nothing can someone help me thanks.

you can use a paper clip to jump the te1 and e1 pins under the hood to read the codes. go to ih8mud, then the 80's section search for paper clip and you will get the info and the codes that should help you diagnose the issue, or at least provide some more information.

Need to know what DTC's are stored in the ECU. Cleaning the MAF sensor works half the time. The half of that time, it wipes out the MAF sensor.

Typically, when a MAF sensor is dirty, you will see a hesitation off of idle. Not an overall power loss.

I would first check compression, wet and dry. Then a fuel pressure test. The ignition side of this engine rarely fails. If compression varies more than 15% wet to dry, you have compression issues. Rings and pistons.
