wrong spring rate with OME?
guys- i bought an ome kit thats rated for an aftermarket bumper upfront and 100lbs in the back... coupled with the comfort shocks. how will the kit ride if i dont do a aftermarket bumper upfront and no eqpt. in the back? will it be too stiff?
my origional plans were ARM/TJM upfront and storage drawers with eqpt. in the back, but budget and life has changed those plans!
should i put these springs in or buy the softer rated ones and try to sell these springs?

Seems to me that any sort of lift will need to increase your spring rate somewhat to give you lift? Hookes Law? Which OME springs did you buy? The ride will obviously be stiffer no matter what.

ya i got the same basic setup as elton and with wubs in the back and some tools i usually carry
If u put something in the back it could help out with the comfort problem.

I have the 883/891 setup with no bumper up front or back and only subs in the back. Its not stiff at all and rides fine offroad. Onroad might be a little bumpy but you didn't buy a Lexus or Mercedes, you bought a 4Runner

^^ agree with the above statements. i have the 882 up front and 891 in the rear with barely any weight and it still rides fine. shouldnt be a problem. be sure to post some pics when u get em on

I have 882's up front and Land Cruiser springs in the rear. I got 3" of lift from the 882's on my '02 and the LC coils give about 3.5-4" when settled, which is nearly perfect. I think you'd find the LC's ride much softer and articulate much better as well. Some people haven't been getting as much lift as they'd like out of the 891's either. I'd vote for you to sell the OME rears and go with the LC coils. Just my $.02.
