Well... his 20 word unaltering opinionated statements will be missed...

Sad... the mods here are pretty leniant for being as PG as the board is, haven't seen too many kicked off the board... Takes alot to do that.

I feel you, daily driving around baltimore (downtown) is like cruising a rock strewn trail at high speed. Looking to upgrade the suspension now more that ever....

Just for looks but can't do the job that it's looks imply, kinda like brush guards and tail light guards on 2wd trucks;I guess you can use 'em for protection from shopping carts.

Oversize wheels and tires do nothing but impair performance.
Hey, you just described my truck. Thanks. By the way, those runaway shopping carts at Wal-Mart would be hell on my lifted 2WD 4Runner with bigger tires if it weren't for my brush guard.

I used to get perturbed by people who did things to their cars that I thought was stupid. But, that was before I grew up a little and realized that it's their money, let them spend it.

Virtually everyone in the world knows this. I find it hard to believe anyone could be stupid enough to drive around on the pavement in 4wd for very long with a part-time system - it FIGHTS with you on corners and makes all sorts of unpleasant noises as everything loads up and releases. No one could ignore that or think it's normal... But you are right - the transfer case (and a few other vital parts) won't withstand this abuse for long.
