what could I use ?
I been poking around my new 03 Taco and was kinda disappointed to find there is no underhood heat shield/mat. While I realize that with the all-aluminum heads/intake that heat would dissipate rather quickly, I still like the idea of a mat there to soak up heat,,dirt..grime..oil etc. There are holes to secure the mat with push pins, so is this an option, or what? does Toy even sell them for the new (01-03)Taco hood shape? Have any of you made your own with some of the peel n stick type available?
Also, what's up with no underhood lite?

Dude, they suck. I would leave well enough alone. Ever try cleaning one of those? Its next to impossible. I have had both and I definetly prefer my 96, which does not have one.
Dont forget, I live in PHX.

we were cleaning my brothers 94 runner engine when the power washer got loose and destroyed part of his unerdhood sound proofing thingy. We still have it in the trash pile, uh actually my pit made a bed out of it now......I'll sell it to you uh $20.......you don't need that crap if you get muddy.
You can go to any auto store toget a underhood light, I use a Pro Comp spot light because my winch controls are under the hood. Toyotas don't break down at night, only during the day when you give them hell
