Hi all, I have been reading this page for quite some time now and have found VERY valuable and relyable information on it and from all its wonderful members, I want to thank you all and let you know that I Really Enjoy checking this site out GREAT job.
Now to my ? I have a 00 4-Runner and I am installing a Plate type Trans cooler rated at 28k lbs from B&M 8"x11"x1 3/4" and I am also Installing a Autometer Guage to check the temp, My problem is I have read this site looking for a picture of the tee people have been using and it tells me that the pics are not there anymore.
I want to place it in the rubber hose on the out line to the cooler. Does anyone know of a part number and or where I can get one of these?
The sender is the standard 1/8" NPT.
One more quick thing, this is a non Supercharged 3.4L with 65k miles on it and have OME heavy duty springs with 2" lift all round ( although the rear raised 5" ) and also I have helper bags in the springs, I have changed the stock air filer to a k&n and I have added eletric fan part number flx-210 from summit for cooling, I am moving over 1,000 miles with a 16ft flat bed trailer and probably will go over the 5k lbs capacity with it, anyone have fears of this? if so what please.

Anytime you are at or over the weight limit/recommendation you are asking for trouble. Does this flatbed have breaks??

Check the instructions on the sender. A lot of them get their ground from their body, through the transmission pan itself (if you drill and tap the pan so that you can screw the sender right in there.) If you are planning on installing it in the rubber line (which is fine), you may have to run a seperate ground from somewhere on your frame to your sender.

Yes the flat bed has eletric brakes all brand new and thanks for the info on the info on the sender ground

I put a tee on the hard line coming right out of the Tranny! That gives me a good reading of the oil coming right out of the tranny! I thought this would be the next best place to put the sender, next to welding in a bung into the tranny pan!!

Where in WA are you? If you are near Spokane you could come see how I have mine setup.

I basically made my 'T' for about $10 of brass fittings at the local hardware store. Once you get the gauge and cooler in hace it is MUCH easier to figure out, just take all the parts with you to the store and match up the threads. The only pain is gettting it to ground well. I did a pretty ghetto job of just wrapping wire around it 10 times then putting a wire tie on it. I was going to do a better job after it failed the first time, but its been two years and still going strong.

Check out this thing, its a sender block from IPT for only $20 bucks (near the bottom of the page under Misc). Might give them a call. I may go that route when I get the VB done in my fzj80.

Yoda-G2 we are moving to nine miles We will be up there for a few days next week so I would love to check it out if that is cool.
I was hoping to get it done by then but I think I wont have the gauge in time.
