well, I just got done pulling the axles out of the 89 4runner and the 00 tacoma. i have the 4runners axle all bolted in in the tacoma it took my brother and i about 5 hours including cooking up brats and eating, not too bad i thought. now it is time for the tacoma e-locker rearend to go into the 4runner. While i have it all apart, i'm thinking of doing a chevy spring swap, but then the 4runner will have an awful rake to it. sooooo, what should i do, the solid axle swap isn't budgeted until this winter. how bad will it look? i have the torsion bars cranked right now.

I don't mind the look of a racked rig but DO NOT DO IT if you plan on wheelin a lot. My freind did the 3" downey springs before the front bracket drop and the thing would get stuck in a 6" mud hole if you aren't going 20mph. TOO MUCH WEIGHT OVER THE FRONT.

It was done and the truck is gone as of last Thursday, no problems. Although, I asked the guy who handed me the check about buying parts (even though i knew the answer) and mentioned about hearing that other people supposedly swapped motors with a 3.slow and he said that they would NOT accept them!
