SC price? too much!!!! but that $1700 is significantly lower than what i thought.

I've had my s/c for 26 months. I've put on ~30K on the s/c. Fortunately, I have not had any pinging since. No fuel mods, just added the Hayden Tranny cooler. Refer to this thread regarding getting colder plugs to possibly reduce/eliminate pinging.

FYI, if interested in getting Iridium plugs, I purchased a set of 4 yesterday for $26. I ordered part number NGK-BKR6EIX-11 (3764), which is the 1 heat range cooler plugs. Here is the link to the online store

You guys running the sc who are not pinging, are you running 91 or 93 octane?

Only 4 plugs?? What are you using for the other 2?? I guess the debate is still out there about using 1 or 2 stage cooler plugs...

93 normally, with periodic tanks of 101 and 104.

A friend of mine actually gave me a box of 4 last month

so I decided just to buy another box of 4 so I have two plugs as spare

you know I can't remember which one I think it's 91 but it's chevron plus gas, the one in the middle...not regular but not premium

Damn, I got a little excited at this too. I'm in the library studying and took a break to see what's up on YT, definitely a let-down. I'm glad to still have my $1700+ though.
