Phil, you have a '93 Corrado VR6?! Very cool! My brother almost bought one about a year ago. You don't see many in good shape anymore, and if you do they can be expensive. We've owned a bunch of VW's, but the Corrado will always be my favorite.

I bought it about 7 years ago from a car dealership that had it in their wholesale lot for $2,000. They couldn't keep it running to take it to auction, so it sat for 6mths, they had taken it in on trade for $8,000.

The only thing wrong with it was a bad alt wire....the dumb 's couldn't figure it out, so it sat for ever.

it came with a nice paint job, full adj koni suspension, short shift kit, chip, intake, exhaust.

it only has 88,652 miles on it, I bought it with 84,000 on it. As you can see I don't drive it much.

I have added a ton of goodies on it, S/C kit, full fuel upgrade from the pump, lines, injectors, stand alone, schrick intake, wide band, and tons of other goodies

And I will be tearing it down this winter after we move, will be doing the 3.1 motor upgrade and AWD conversion to it, the drive line ext. kit for it, then I will have my monster about close to done....unless I want to do a newer digital cliamamatic heater conversion to it.

So I bought a new brush guard for my truck last night for $100
It is NICE!!! brand new shape, no dents or scrapes, nothing...

Now I just need to install it, find some nice lights, and figure a way to mount a winch on it.

here are some pics of it, but not on my truck, mine is silver

You got a killer deal on it!! It's certainly not a car for the faint of heart, but they are worth it. A friend of mine had one and the instrument cluster stopped working one day, then the power windows failed the next day. He drove it that way for a while until he could afford replacement parts. You have to post up some pics when you get it done!

nope, rare German Borbett's hard to find.

They look just like the new stocks, but better built, without the rivets on the lips.

I love them

New update, went in and saw it yesterday, the bed was all the way off and frame is straight, the bed was painted, the cab was being sprayed.

First thought I had when I saw the bed off, was man I should do a body lift and Change those struts while this is off.

Oh well.

here are some pics of the new front gaurd.

http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/a...0Tacoma%20TRD/

I just did the ISR and deck plate mod, after the first day of a bad idle (until the ECU fixed it's self) I love it! it sounds great, gives me some good extra power, the rear end flys around real easy now.

now im just waiting until I get my rear bumper all painted.
I want to get my stereo and video screen installed, but I just got a promaotion at work, we need to move out of state, so that comes first now. Darn it!!!
But more money now to play with the truck!
