sAFC Install- 4 Runner

I am about to install a sAFC in my 1999 SC'd 4 Runner. Does anyone have access to or can direct me to the ECU diagram? I have one for a Taco, but I understand they are different.

Thanks,

Mike

The 96-98 ECU is similar to one of the Supra diagrams. I don't have my instructions here at the moment, unfortunately.
I found the Apex'i website, if I remeber correctly, I used T8-a through T8-e in conjunction with a Toyota wiring diagram I copied from the dealer.

If you don't already have one, I would recommend going to the dealer and getting a photocopy of their wiring diagram from the ECU just to make sure you have the correct RPM signal wire, throttle position wire, etc.

Also, just a word of advice from my own experience:
Solder the wires. Don't use Scotch locks, butt connectors, etc. I used the afore mentioned and experienced a short that could have cooked my ECU. It wasn't very pleasant.

Now that I read the post again, I see that its a 99. My previous post was probably no help what so ever.

SORRY!

Haveblu,

HA HA HA HA! Don't worry about it. Going to the dealer and getting a copy of the ECU wiring was a great idea! If they will give it to me, that may get me half way there.

Can't you just twist the wires together? Just kidding, I'll be soldering.

Gadget came through with an ECU diagram he thinks will work so I will proceed carefully.

I'll take pics so maybe other people can benefit.

Thanks!

Mike
