Revtek VS. OME Coils???
I am looking to get enough lift to mount 285/75/16 on 16x8 rims...i saw the TRD set up but priced it out and the budget doesn't allow it. These two set ups are within the price range for my lift, which one is the best of the two. I will use my 1996 4runner limited as a daily driver with the occassional weekend in the rocky mountains running gravel roads, cutlines and small river beds. I will also be mounting new shocks, which ones do you recommend with either set up...i do have one concern and that is i want to ensure my JAOS front bush bar won't affect the lift in the front and in the rear when i load up my camping gear it sags...with that said advise would be greatly appreciated...thank you john pardo calgary alberta canada!

I'd say go for the OME setup, I've got a '96 and my stock suspension was well used, so i decided that new coils were the ticket. also look into getting a diff. drop kit, from revtek, with either setup-

If you want a revtek lift I've got one i'll sell you for 100 bucks! It was only on my truck for about 6k miles. I took it off cuz i went with new springs, i actually still have the rear spacer on, but am going to take it off once i have a buyer.

Only problem with the OME's is that a lot of people seem to end up with their front end 1" or 1.5" lower than the rear after sagging. I've got Revtek up front and OME 890s in the rear and love the setup. Sits level, rides good, and clears 285s with no problem (on the road).
