Hey guys. Sorry to threadjack. I just have a quick question and after my search I found this fairly new thread.

I got a line on some 2000 springs, unfortunatley that's the only year missing on that image of the changes over the years. Now since it's always talked about the 99's being the tall ones, I assume the 00's are more like the 01-02's?

I have a saggy 96, and because of this wonderful site I just found out about the recall so I'll try that first. But in case it's already been done on my truck by the original owner and for budget restraints I would like to scoop up the 00 springs. Just hoping to level things out for now until the budget allows for a lift later down the road.

The 2000s are the same as the 01-02s. Toyota lowered the 4runner in 2000 because of "a US manufactured SUV that would tend to rollover when tires, that usually were underinflated, would blow out".

I have a pair of 2000 coils that I'll give you. You don't want them because they are shot. Thet had sagged so the axle was almost on the jounce bumbers, they are junk. Swapping in any used coils may also be junk.

Thanks Gerdo. The 2000's I found are new so although not cool like a lift at least they'll level me out till I can afford a lift.
