another plus to extended/d-cab is the fact that they are much easier to drive on the highway, and are much smoother ride.

i had a 98 taco ext cab, and drove it for 215k miles, but i like my 03 4dr better, just wish could have gotten a stick. the 6 ft bed was nice in the ext cab

Ditto. I had a 99 ext. cab w/ the 2.7 and 5spd manny. The stick and the bed are the only things I miss. (Well, the mileage of the 2.7 was pretty nice, too... )
