hi danny, mine were the protoypes so im not at liberty to say but i think he's getting about $350.00 for the front one and $150 for the transfer case one
personally i am extremely pleased with the performance and durability of the skid plates i have run spring creek twice and chinamans gultch both of which are pretty tough trails (for me anyway)and suffered no dammage other than a few scratches if you are intrested just give mike a call at ORS and he will give you all the details! i see your running the Rockstomper skid plates

Well I just got off the phone with ORS and they want $450 for the skid That might be a little out of my range for a skid. Now if it were $350.00, I'd buy it today. $450.00 is a tad bit high. Once you throw in shipping from CO to AR, then that'll be another $80 I would imagine. I love the design and the way it looks. Hell I just might buy it anyways I've had the Rockstomper for a while and its beat up very badly. It has had its fair share of rocks, so I figured it was time for a new one. ORS also informed me that their skid weighed in at 70lbs!

They said $450 for the regular skid and $250 for the tcase skid.

This is not a paid advertisement for those plates or anything, but I don't think that you fully comprehend the beef in those things.

I have seen them in person. I have wheeled with them and watched them take hits. They are down right nasty.

Considering the two other games in town are at or over that price for good products, but not even half the beef, I am not sure what people are complaining about.

Yeah they look beefier than my rockstomper. I will probalby end up forking out the $450.00 for the plates, but it'll be a little while. I just hope they'll work with my diff drop'd.

I trashed my stock plates. I was on a relatively gentle trail and came down on a rock just right. We really felt the bump but everything seemed ok. When I got home I pulled the plates off and literally put a hole through the skid plate and dented it several times. I wasn't even trying to do anything extreme. To me skid plates are a must.

I agree that $450 is a little high but in the end it might be worth it. I'll have to give Mike a call.

I trashed my rockstomper in one day pretty quickly Hey it served it's duty! Now its time to retire it. I'll probalby end up getting the ORS one, but I'll have to save a little money first. I need something really, really, really strong and this looks like it.

Well, in the interest of science, progress, and all that jazz, I've ordered the Trail Carnage skid plate set. Yes, its more expensive than the ORS set up (520, not including shipping). It covers the same area, but without any gap, has slots for water/mud drainage here in WA, will work with a 1" diff drop, and is a direct bolt on application. I'll make sure to post pics of the install.

I actually considered going with the ORS setup, but there were a couple of things that changed my mine, one of which boils down to customer service. A pretty straightforward email with a couple of basic questions to ORS was never returned, while Tom Banse at TC got back to me the same night.

I'll second the customer service thing, because I sent an email to ORS too with no response. I got to meet Tom this past weekend with a bunch of other TTORA guys at Tellico, and he's a really nice guy along with the rest of them. We had a great time trail riding and hanging out.

Sounds like the ideal situation for using an AmsOil Remote Oil Filtration Kit. At ~ $165.00 they certainly are not cheap, but that would certainly reduce the need to remove the plates.

I wish I could afford this stuff!
