Pacer Flexy Flares w/pics
I didn't think to take any pictures during installation, but here are some of the finish product. Hopefully this is helpful for someone out there, i know i searched google and here for HOURS! trying to find pictures of these on a 3rd gen and just took a blind leap of faith in buying them. I think they turned out alright, but i would love to hear feedback. Heck for only 75 bucks if it keeps the cops off my A$$ I can't complain!

they have a solid feel, but you can move them around with your hand, i'll be curious to see how they hold up after they get hit with sunlight for a few months...
is it the rim themselves or them being a 10" rim?

Hey man the flares are nifty, like you said if they get the cops off your back then its worth every penny! It would stink to have to pay 500 for bushwackers just for that reason alone. this site plays home to a wide variety of toyota owners, both shined up and beat up. you have to take what everyone says with a large grain of salt. stick around and you'll learn a lot, maybe even find out how to make that 4runner even nicer for less!

I dont think anyone meant any harm... its a online board, people come off like dicks...sarcasm doesn't translate through words alone. Ya the rims a fugly but I think they are sweet cause they add character. Everyone's got an opinion, doesn't matter. Just trying to push you in a direction that might make you happier down the line.

anyways the flares are functional for sure. Living in CA with big tires is a nightmare with cops. I know your pain.

Samuel,what would you think of them if it wasn't your truck truthfully?
If they function then that's great but as far as form hopefully they can be changed later since they don't really look that good on a modern 4Runner but an older Toy PU they might come off better.
Getting that plastic insert on top the bumper back in would help and maybe different wheels with a shallower offset would tuck the tires back in a little better but those wheels are from an era over 30 years ago and they show it.
Not being a dick just giving constructive criticism and good luck with the truck in the future.

I like those rims, more suited to an older style truck with squared off body lines but still good lookin' anyway
As far as the flares go, the only reason I had those on the rear of my '88 4runner was so I could pass state inspection (recently got new rims and was able to take them off) - all those sheet metal screws will give rust a place to start, and once the cancer begins . . . at the very least, wash the salt out of out the wheel wells as often as you can and, even better, paint the exposed thread on the screws inside the wells (I would recommend Rustoleum OIL BASED Enamel)

Hey Samuel, I didn't mean to put you down so I apologize. I was making a joke about your truck - not you personally. I think if you had stock rims, you wouldn't need the flares and your truck would look better IMO. But don't let what I say ruin your day, I'm blunt and was just talking as if I were talking to one of my buddies about his truck - we make fun of eachother all the time, I guess it came across harsher when it's on a forum. If you like it, that's what matters, not what I or anyone else thinks.

i dont think it looks bad. as long as they work. plus itll keep you rrunner a littel cleaner cuz it wont throw mud all over it. cops aint to bad about that here in va
