I have read about putting OME 860 or 863 coils on the rear of a 2nd gen. runner and was wondering how much lift they would give? also about how much are they? i did search and couldnt find much.

My guess would be darn near 6" with a stock rear set-up. i am pretty sure that these are the magic 5.5" coils All-Pro is selling.

The 863's might give even more since they are rated for more weight, but the same lift for cruiser applications.

I get a solid 3" maybe 3.5" or so with a heavy rear and two stock tall side coils.

Yeah, I got it and I replied today, but it said your PM box was full and an e-mail was sent reflecting that state of affairs.

I still have it. I would prefer to sell it with the shocks. By the time I sold it to you and shipped it, it would be darn near the same as you getting one out right.

i'm looking at getting OME 891 coils for the back and they're priced at $129.95/pair. Now these only give you about 2.5" of lift, but you could always add spacers for not a whole lot of money. but if you're looking to mainly get the sag out of your 2nd. gen., like me, then these should be fine.

actually what i am looking to do is get about 5" in of rear lift, 1" to take the sag out and then the other 4" for lift. i am hoping these springs will do it without the addition of spacers.

The PM that I sent contained all the info that I posted. I also asked about the swap progress. I think that you can get them at Rosser Jeep IIRC. A little bit of C channel would do the same thing.

I think those coils will jack your rear end if it is stock. On 4x4 Wire, there is a guy, Allen D from out East, who has a heavy rear bumper and has 3" more lift than I do with 860's.

I talked to Allen recently, he said his 860's give him 5.5" over stock, so if you have a 4" front kit you might be alright.
I have a 4" kit and the back fender sags about 1.5" below the front because of my 4" coils sagging... so I'm thinking of doing the same swap, I think an extra 1.5" above the front is better then sag.. you probably will need new control arms and new panhard mounts too, I have a panhard drop and I still think 5.5 might make the panhard angle too extreme soooo...... I guess we'll see what happens when I get some extra $$$

oh yeah, the Allpro 5.5" coils are OME 860's.

I have a 4 inch ifs lift I wanted to swap out my rear coils with 860's and put 1.5' spacers in front with 23.4 emu T bars my question is if I put spacers with the t bars would the front still be stiff and would I need to extend anything such as panyard,shocks etc oh I am trying to accomplish 5"-5.5" lift

P.S would the 860's be a stiff coils
