The hot rod guys almost always run crankcase breathers on their V8's. I ran one on my old Mazda Truck and my old Civic SI for years. Must have lost .5 seconds in the 1/4 mile...

I thought I would follow up and mention that my 3rd gear 5K RPM and above power seems to be slightly better, and smoother.
I thought I would throw that out there for anyone considering this mod. I still have to get a write-up going for it.

If you are talking about the hose with a metal fitting that plugs into the back side of the intake track, then yes I left that on.

What size is the Crank case breather and what else do you have to do when pulling out the hose from the engine block.
Also, is there a spring or valve where you put the breather on. I read on custom tacos that you have to remove the valve or spring(this was on a 2.7) or else you will have long term problems.

The grommet, PCV valve, and vacuum line all come out. This is what you are left with:
Then, just plug in the breather. Now plug off the fitting at the TB. That's it you're done.
As for the size, well I would have to check on that. I just grabbed a breather at the local Type-R store and got lucky. You can tell what size you need by looking at the grommet when it's out.

I meant the tube with the metal fitting....saw a previous post where you addressed the fact that you left it in.
I would seriously suggest removing this line, as it will allow air to enter crankcase and then go into the TB putting the blow off gas right back into your intake and this time infront of the butterfly. This will gum it up nicely.
Just a suggestion, but since the original design was to use filtered high side intake air to move through the crankcase and then into the low side of the intake I would be hesitant to leave your breather assembly as is.
