New here..quick question

Howdy All,

I have searched everywhere, but found nothing about this yet.
I have wheeled for years in Jeeps.. new to Yota's.
On Grnd Cherokees, I have performed what is called a "front to rear swap" on two of mine. Taking the front coils from under the front of a V8 Grand and moving them to the rear nets you about 3" of lift.... cheap huh?....

Do any of you have any experience with trying this same idea on a 3rd Gen Runner? Would it lift the back any to put coils from front of V6 on the back?
Just seeing if anyone has thought about it. And sorry if it is a dumb question in the 4Runner arena.... obviously I dont know.

Oh yeah, my ride is a 2000, 3.4 ltr, 4X4, Diff Lock with 265/75/16 Goodyear Wranglers. I have been lurking here for a looong time and have done the Deckplate Mod, removed running boards and done the Diff Lock Mod so I can use it anytime. Great Forum!!!

Thank you,

James

The fronts are coilovers. You cant switch them to the rear.

Perhaps look into LC coils.

btw, remember Grands (until the new ones at least) were straight axle in the front. 4Runners are IFS.

Land Cruiser Front Coils From 91-97... Generally, Though They Differ From Year To Year. Throw Them In The Back And They Give Roughly 3.5-4.5 Inch Lift. Depending On The Rig And How Much They Settle After.

Thank you. I will plan on looking into the LC coils. I already have a source for 04 Tundra TRD fronts..... just looking to match the back.
